In a large bowl mix first 3 ingredients. Cook on High for 8 min or until clear. Stir. Cook on High 6 ½ - 8 min longer or until 260ºF on candy thermometer.
In another large bowl beat egg whites & salt until stiff. Beating constantly, pour hot syrup in a thin stream into egg whites until mixture loses its shine & becomes thick. Stir in vanilla & nuts.
Immediately drop by tsp onto wax paper.
