Tomato Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut lengthwise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2-3 T. olive oil
  • 1-2 t. red pepper flakes
  • 3-4 fresh tomatoes, sliced

Method

In a skillet sauté garlic in olive oil over med-low heat.
Cut the bread into 4 large pieces.
Put cut side of bread in olive oil, coating with oil and garlic.
Remove from skillet & put on a cookie sheet.
Place under broiler for a few minutes...watch it carefully.
Remove from oven & sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
Top with tomato slices & sprinkle lightly with salt.
Slice in pieces.

Notes

You may have to add a little more olive oil & minced garlic to skillet as you cook the bread.
