Meatloaf Gyros

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds hamburger
  • ½ pound ground lamb
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 4 small tomatoes, chopped (or sub 2 ounces sun-dried tomatoes)
  • 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. greek seasoning
  • Gyro Sauce
    • 1 cup non-fat plain yogurt
    • 1 cucumber, shredded
    • 2 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp. Greek seasoning

Method

Preheat oven to 350ºF.

Mix together first nine ingredients and put into loaf pan. Bake at 350º for 1 hr.

Cut into thin slices & serve ina pita with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and sauce.
