Apple and Pecan French Toast

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 14 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 medium apple, peeled, shredded
  • ½ tsp. vanilla
  • 12 slices french bread, 1" thick from a single loaf
  • ½ cup pecans, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted

Method

Spray Pam on bottom of 9x13 pan. Combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, apple, and vanilla. Place bread in a single layer in pan. Pour egg mixture over bread. Turn bread over to coat other side. Cover with plastic wrap and REFRIGERATE OVERNIGHT.

NEXT DAY: Sprinkle pecans over top. Drizzle with melted butter.

Bake @ 425º for 20-25 minutes. Serve with syrup.
